Oxus is an engineering manufacturing and service company specializing in medical devices and gas separation technology. We are located in Auburn Hills, MI. We are seeking a Production Technician to work in our Engineering Department.
Testing and analysis of product field warranty returns and day to day support of product and manufacturing engineers. Conduct testing of field returns focused on generating performance data from products, assist with identifying potential root cause(s), organizing and presenting this information back to the team. Maintaining up-to-date information and disposition within the internal Returned Material Authorization (RMA) database system and assist with the development of corrective actions. Assist Engineering with the development, construction and testing of product and process prototypes. Assist Engineering with the validation of new products and processes, as well as build and installation of new manufacturing equipment, test stations and fixtures. Provide technical support of manufacturing floor as directed by Engineering, including items such as De-bugging equipment, implementing corrective actions, and fixing down equipment. Plan, schedule and prioritize to meet established deadlines.
Associate or Technical Degree (Bachelors preferred). Strong technical aptitude and communication skills along with the ability to understand results of product performance testing. Must have the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics with good organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects.
Ability to self-manage time, track, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with several simultaneous projects. Ability to communicate effectively and verbally convey technical understanding in English. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Standard computer skills, preference will be given to those candidates possessing programing skills in C++ or other related languages, database communication protocols or strong background in computer programming and communication networks.
